Marija Pavkovic is a registered nurse with 11 years of public health of experience. She has her Masters of Public Health and has specialized training in travel health medicine. She holds a professional diploma in Travel Health Medicine from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

Her work experience includes managing the territorial Immunization program and she currently works with the Department of Defence, managing the national Immunization program. She opened up Whitehorse Travel Health Clinic in October 2022 due to the unmet need in the territory.
